The Word From the Mountain

From the Jim Lee panel at the Baltimore Comic-Con, via Newsarama:

"The Highwaymen will conclude its arc and then end, Lee said, noting that the series was a great read but hasn’t performed well sales-wise. After the series is over, Lee said that they’ll be working with the creators again."

Well, there you have it. We're glad we got to tell the story we set out to tell. If you find us at a convention bar one of these years, we'll tell you what would've happened...if you buy us beer. And nachos. Definitely nachos.

About the beer, nachos and more Highwaymen stories...

You guys gonna be at New York Comicon in April? ;)

Sorry to hear there won't be more, still hoping (but maybe not expecting) there will be a trade.

How about cyber-nachos?

I think they're committed to collecting it as a trade. We wrote the solicits for it, anyway...for whatever that's worth.

I'll definitely be at the NYCC, so I'll drop the science there.

Yeah, I've had discussions about the double page spread at the end of #4 and its impact on the trade layout so it certainly was on the cards last month. I hope it'll stand as one of those hidden gems that people discover in trade. I absolutely love it, love the writing, love the characters and would work on more in a flash.

And Marc, I don't know much about the H-Men's story either...you think I'd qualify for some insider knowledge but no, I've got to FedEx Nachos.

if you can FedEx me hot nachos, then I'll tell you what happens to the rest of YOUR story.
